INTERNATIONAL YEAR OF THE LUNG

The goal of the Year of the Lung Year of the Lung is to increase public awareness of lung health; initiate action in communities worldwide; and advocate for resources to combat lung disease including increased investment in basic, clinical and translational research worldwide.
A key initiative is to begin to build a social movement for greater public awareness and policy action. Find out more at the Year of the Lung website

On 14 October 2010, free spirometry will be offered worldwide. This event will be one of the top opportunities to raise awareness about lung health through the public and the media. The European Respiratory Society (ERS) and the European Lung Foundation (ELF) will coordinate the organisation of the event.
